Wyndham Rewards Adds AmericInn to Program Portfolio

PARSIPPANY, NJ—Wyndham Rewards has added the AmericInn brand and its more than 200 midscale hotels to the program’s portfolio of more than 25,000 hotels, condos and homes.

Wyndham Rewards members may now earn and redeem their points at all AmericInn locations. Like all Wyndham Rewards hotels, members will earn a minimum 1,000 points or 10 points per dollar spent, whichever is more, on every qualified stay and may redeem a free night at any location for just 15,000 points per room, per night.

Wyndham Rewards replaces AmericInn’s Easy Rewards loyalty program, which officially ends on March 4. Now through March 3, members may continue to earn and redeem points in both programs for stays at AmericInn hotels. Following the discontinuation of Easy Rewards, members with any remaining, unused Easy Rewards points will have them automatically transferred to their Wyndham Rewards account at a ratio of 1,500 Wyndham Rewards points for every one Easy Rewards point. Transfers will be automatic and are expected to be complete by March 31.

In July 2017, Wyndham Hotel Group announced its plans to acquire the Minnesota-based AmericInn hotel brand and its management company, Three Rivers Hospitality, from Northcott Hospitality for $170 million.

“What’s first and foremost, our vision is to continue to allow AmericInn to grow,” said Geoff Ballotti, president and CEO of Wyndham Hotel Group, at the time. “It’s a very strong brand locally and regionally. We believe that there’s still tremendous opportunity for natural continued growth in the heartland, but we also think that outside of the Midwest, it has opportunity for growth. Secondly, our vision—other than our ability to grow the brand and continue to make it stronger—is to continue to add value for those franchisees.”
