AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND—Wyndham Hotel Group has opened the Ramada Suites Auckland Federal Street, its first property here in New Zealand’s largest urban area.
The hotel is situated in the city’s central business district (CBD), located 30 minutes from Auckland Airport and close to attractions such as Aotea Square, Sky Tower, SKYCITY, the Britomart precinct as well as major businesses.
“The Auckland area has long been a gateway to New Zealand and the most visited destination, welcoming more than 70% of the country’s visitors,” said Barry Robinson, Wyndham Hotel Group’s president and managing director Southeast Asia and Pacific Rim. “The World Tourism Organization (WTO) predicts visitor arrivals will reach more than 1.5 billion by 2020 and our new Ramada location will deliver to these travelers a contemporary, value-driven lodging experience with the comforts of home in the heart of the city.”
The new-construction, boutique-style hotel offers a mix of 42 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments with impressive city views, contemporary decor, kitchens, washing machines and dryers. Additional hotel features include unlimited free WiFi access throughout the property, an on-site restaurant and bar and parking.
Wyndham Hotel Group has three Ramada hotels open and operating in the country, including a new location in Christchurch, which opened in February of this year.
