What’s Going on with Hotel Collections? Four Additions to Know

NATIONAL REPORT—There have been recent additions to the following hotel collections: Ascend Hotel Collection, Autograph Collection, and more. Here’s a closer look:

Ascend Hotel Collection Adds Hacienda de Léal to Portfolio
The Ascend Hotel Collection has added Hacienda de Léal to its portfolio. The 42-room Hacienda de Léal captures the spirit of the Spanish Hacienda with its rustic, red and beige hues, patio, and 20,000-sq.-ft. courtyard. The property was purchased by Léal Vineyards in 2014 and completely renovated to channel the opulence of the beachside hotels of Santa Barbara without sacrificing its California mission roots and rich history.

Braemar Unveils New Autograph Collection Property in Philadelphia
Braemar Hotels & Resorts Inc. plans to open of The Notary Hotel in early summer 2019. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the former Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia Downtown underwent a rebranding and renovation in excess of $20 million to create The Notary Hotel. Fusing Philadelphia’s distinctive soul with its historic legacy, the hotel now joins Marriott International’s Autograph Collection Hotels, a diverse portfolio of 177 independent hotels around the world that reflect unique vision, design and craft.

The Notary Hotel will have 499 guestrooms. Additionally, with more than 10,000 sq. ft. of conference space throughout 12 event rooms, the hotel offers substantial meeting and banquet space. Further, with the introduction of the 3,000-sq.-ft. Junipers Ballroom, the landmark hotel is positioned to become a signature Philadelphia wedding and business location.

Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables has joined Autograph Collection Hotels. The boutique 157-room hotel marks Davidson Hotels & Resorts’ third Autograph Collection property, managed under its Pivot Hotels & Resorts luxury lifestyle division.

Radisson Hotel Group Partners with Allianz Real Estate, Adding to its Collection in Milan
Radisson Hospitality AB, part of Radisson Hotel Group, has signed a new Radisson Collection property in Milan. Working in conjunction with Allianz, the group will redevelop the former Allianz Italia headquarters in Milan into the Radisson Collection Hotel, Santa Sofia Milan. Set to open in 2022, the hotel will be managed by Allianz Real Estate on behalf of Allianz group companies.
