Barceló Maya Riviera to Open in December

In December, the resort complex will also unveil Barceló Maya Arena, the largest convention center and meetings inventory in the region. A combined investment of $250 million has been allocated to this expansion project.

Barceló Maya Riviera is home to 850 rooms, all of which are junior suites or suites—and more than half of them have ocean views. With more than a hundred swim-up suites, the new property will also include hot tubs in all guestroom balconies and double or super king-sized beds.

The new Barceló Maya Arena convention center will have a capacity to host up to 8,000 attendees, with more than 190,000 sq. ft. of customizable multipurpose space for expos, conventions and events.
