NEW YORK—W Hotels Worldwide plans to open the W Prague in 2020. Managed by Prague Prime Homes Management and owned by PPH Evropa s.r.o., the new property will mark the brand’s debut into the Czech Republic.
The hotel will be a renovation of the former Grand Europa Hotel. The historic structure will be combined with a new, modern building to create a blend of old world glamour and bold, contemporary design, according to the brand.
The two buildings will be fully connected to create 154 guestrooms and suites. Each guestroom will be equipped with an SPG Keyless entry system, which will enable guests to use their smartphone or Apple watch to unlock their door.
W Prague will have a rooftop bar and an outdoor terrace. It will also include several restaurants, nearly 3,768 sq. ft. of event space, an indoor pool deck, a fitness center and a spa.
