BETHESDA, MD—Marriott International’s Autograph Collection Hotels will add two new properties from Roomers Hotel Group to its global portfolio.
Part of Gekko Group, Roomers Baden-Baden and Roomers Munich will be Autograph Collection’s third and fourth hotels in Germany, joining Gewandhaus Dresden and Hotel Am Steinplatz in Berlin.
“Germany is such an important market for today’s lifestyle traveler and to our growing collection,” said John Licence, brand leader for Autograph Collection Hotels in Europe. “These two hotels were selected for their bold originality, rich character and uncommon details, and afford us the opportunity to partner with Roomers—a company that shares our passion for refined design and exactly like nothing else travel experiences.”
“We are very pleased to be partnering with Autograph Collection Hotels,” said Alex Urseanu and Micky Rosen, owner of Gekko Group. “It’s a natural fit—with our presence in Germany continuing to grow, Roomers is delighted to align itself with a group known for impeccable service and skill in producing extraordinary experiences for guests.”
Offering a modern aesthetic, Roomers Baden-Baden is set to be a fusion of architecture and design and the city’s first luxury lifestyle hotel at its scheduled opening in August, according to the company. With interiors by Milan-based architect Piero Lissoni in collaboration with entrepreneur Bernhard Wagener, Gekko Group, the hotel will feature 130 guestrooms and suites with furniture and elements that will embody the design ethos of Autograph Collection Hotels.
Scheduled to open in December, Roomers Munich will be comprised of 281 guestrooms and suites. Designed by Amsterdam-based design firm concrete, the lobby will offer an elegant lounge style in dark tones contrasted by shiny brass elements that create a chic aesthetic that filters into the rooms and suites, according to the company.
Amenities include a spa with five treatment rooms and holistic treatments, as well as an indoor pool with a large adjoining cinema screen, special bar concept and daybeds with waiter service.
