East to West, Hotel Openings Add to Local Scene

NATIONAL REPORT—From New York to Hawaii, here’s a look at some of the hotel openings—and planned openings—in the industry this week.

The Adelphi Hotel 
The Adelphi Hotel has opened its doors in Saratoga Springs, NY. The property has 32 guestrooms, which have all been reconfigured to offer a more spacious and luxurious experience. The new 2,300-sq.-ft. grand ballroom can accommodate up to 250 guests. The original hotel had approximately 74 rooms when it was built in the late 1800s. The previous owners modified the hotel to just over 40 rooms.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Mt. Laurel 
The newly opened SpringHill Suites by Marriott Mt. Laurel in Mt. Laurel, NJ, marked its official grand opening recently with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a reception, and led property tours to give those in the Mt Laurel/Burlington County community a glimpse of what the new hotel has to offer. The 135-suite hotel, developed and owned by High Hotels Ltd of Lancaster, PA, is located at 5000 Midlantic Dr. in Mt Laurel, New Jersey in the Laurel Corporate Center. The property offers guests access to nearby businesses, attractions, and services, including four adjacent restaurants.

Westdrift Manhattan Beach 
Westdrift Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles’ first Autograph Collection Hotel, is expected to open in January 2018. The property will have 392 guestrooms, 112 of which will have private balconies with views of the golf course. There will also be 14 executive suites and a standout presidential suite. Westdrift’s signature restaurant will be an available F&B option. The property has 35,000 sq. ft. of indoor-outdoor space, including 18 meeting rooms, a traditional ballroom and three large venues. 

Embassy Suites by Hilton Oahu Kapolei
Embassy Suites by Hilton has opened in Kapolei, Oahu. Owned by Kapolei Hotel Partners LLC and managed by Management Western States Lodging LLC, the property has 80 suites. The property has a sundeck with an outdoor pool, whirlpool and on-property restaurants, such as Sprig’s Grille, which serves lunch and dinner. The Manamana Lounge Bar is available poolside for daytime snacking.
