Interstate Hotels & Resorts Sets Sights on The West

Interstate Hotels & Resorts has been selected by Glacier House Hotels to manage a portfolio of 13 hotels. From Texas to Washington state, the portfolio expands Interstate’s presence in destinations such as California’s Wine Country, the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and the national forests, parks and lands found in Arizona and Montana.

The portfolio of premium select-service properties aggregates to 1,285 rooms, located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Montana, Texas and Washington state and spanning across nine brands under top lodging companies including Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Best Western. Six of the 13 hotels are under construction, with targeted opening dates from June 2019 to June 2020.

Aqua-Aston to Manage CopperWynd Resort & Club

Aqua-Aston, a hotel and resort management group and an operating business of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation, welcomed CopperWynd Resort & Club in Scottsdale, AZ, to its portfolio of nearly 40 properties. CopperWynd is the company’s first managed resort in Arizona.

The property is currently undergoing an extensive $60-million renovation and expansion, and following the development’s anticipated completion in 2020, CopperWynd will join the ranks of Autograph Collection Hotels.

Crescent Adds Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago North Shore Deerfield

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago North Shore Deerfield is now being managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts. The 237 all-suite hotel recently completed a multimillion-dollar, all-suite renovation project in April. The hotel offers home-like amenities in its two-room suites, including two 49-in. flat-screen TVs and a wet bar area with a refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker.

The property is located in a suburban setting, 14 miles from Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

Access Hotels & Resorts Adds The Marker, a San Francisco Hotel

The Marker, A San Francisco Hotel, anchoring the Union Square district with Tratto, the hotel’s stand-alone modern Italian trattoria and bar, is under new management by Access Hotels & Resorts.

The Marker has 208 guestrooms and suites housed in a historic 1910 building originally opened as the Hotel Bellevue. All public spaces, group meeting and event venues were extensively renovated in 2018.

The Marker is owned by Pebblebrook Hotel Trust.

Benchmark to Manage the Skamania Lodge

Benchmark Resorts & Hotels revealed that Skamania Lodge, in Stevenson, WA, has joined its expanding portfolio.

The 258-guestroom Skamania Lodge is set on 175 forested acres overlooking the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The resort, owned by Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, is known for its Cascadian-style architecture, natural woods, a conference center built to IACC standards, authentic Northwestern cuisine, and 360-degree Gorge views.
