NEW YORK—The James New York-NoMad plans to open here this summer. Located at 29th St. and Madison Ave., the hotel is a short distance from Madison Square Park, Gramercy Park and the Flatiron District.
James Hotels are mindfully modern, embodied by the core pillars of connection, consciousness and community, according to the brand. Each property has locally sourced facets as part of its brand ethos.
“The James New York-NoMad brings another distinct personality to our family,” said Carl Cohen, chief experience officer at Denihan Hospitality Group. “As we roll out new properties over the next year, The James Hotels will be known for offering mindfully elevating experiences.”
The James’ building exterior dates back to the start of the 20th century and stands 12-stories high. The 344-room luxury property, including 28 suites, is undergoing a transformation by designer Thomas Juul-Hansen.
John Meadow’s LDV Hospitality, the New York-based restaurant group, will be the F&B partner managing all in-room dining as well as opening other concepts on the property.
There will be 4,500 sq. ft. of prime event space, including the 250-person grand ballroom and four private meeting rooms. In addition, offerings will include a wellness program, keyless entry, an in-room tablet and custom mobile app for ordering in-room dining and streaming TV shows and movies.
