Tech Companies Make Moves in Hospitality

INTERNATIONAL REPORT—New partnerships and platforms are making communication and hotel processes easier and more efficient. Here’s more on recent tech news across the industry:

SkyTouch Technology and Whistle Messaging Strengthen Strategic Relationship

The SkyTouch/CONNECT integration platform provides an advanced architecture to deliver dynamic data to any system real-time. A single integration provides a connectivity to Whistle’s mobile messaging in real-time.

Additionally, hotels and hotel guests can now communicate via SMS and mobile messaging pre-, during and post-stay. Whistle’s hospitality customer service and communication tool provides an extra touchpoint for customer service. It facilitates follow-through by both parties and discourages false claims by saving a history of communication between customers and staff. With Whistle, businesses can send non-invasive outbound texts and messages directly to the customer’s mobile phone.

Dimension Development Integrates UniFocus Time and Attendance with its Labor Management System

Dimension Development Company has installed UniFocus’ Global Time and Attendance protocol in each of its 64 hotels. This move comes on the heels of implementing UniFocus’ labor management system (LMS) earlier this year.

UniFocus provides single-source, cloud-based solutions with real-time analytics that tackles the complexities of budgeting, planning and workforce scheduling for hospitality and other service industry organizations. Its forecasting of business volumes lets management schedule staff, even from a mobile device. This, coupled with assessments of engagement levels of the team, helps ensure a targeted customer experience. Its T&A system, in addition to integrating with LMS, interfaces with all payroll and human capital management (HCM) systems.
