Sofitel To Debut Phnom Penh Property

PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA—The Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra is set debut here March 29, the first new five-star hotel to open in the capital in more than a decade, according to the company.

The $50 million property will feature eight restaurants and bars, meetings facilities, spa, sports club and executive lounge. Accommodations will range across seven classes, from 121 Superior rooms to 45 Luxury, 23 Junior Suites, 11 Prestige Suites and one Opera Suite. 

The hotel development is third in a group that includes the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra and the Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra.

Didier Lamoot will serve as the hotels general manager.
