Small Luxury Hotels of the World Adds Four

INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Small Luxury Hotels of the World has added four new hotels, including three newly opened properties, to its portfolio of boutique hotels.

Honor Resort Yun Shun Dali

Honor Resort Yun Shun Dali in China includes a cantilevered pool with a glass panel at the base, a virtual golf simulator, a wine and cigar bar and a teahouse where visitors can drop by for a game of chess and a pot of freshly brewed, loose-leaf tea. All rooms and suites include private terraces.

Le Mas Candille

Le Mas Candille in Mougins, France is a five-star boutique hotel with a Michelin-starred restaurant. Originally an 18th century farmhouse, each of the 38 bedrooms and seven suites have been designed in a modern Provençal style combining shabby chic French antiques with contemporary furnishings.

Monkey Island Estate

Opening in August following a complete renovation by YTL Hotels, Monkey Island Estate in Bray On Thames, England is a centuries-old retreat that lies on an island in the River Thames. The white-bricked Pavilion and Temple buildings will now make up the main hotel areas of the estate.

The Pantai Inn

The Pantai Inn in La Jolla, CA is a Balinese-inspired property with “a touch of Indonesian hospitality.” The hotel includes gardens with Balinese statues and a coral stoned courtyard with water features and an outdoor fire pit. Each of the Inn’s 30 suites and cottages include typically Balinese furnishings, with handcarved wood and patterned fabrics, as well as rain showers and optional in-room spa services.
