SLS Hotel in Seattle Expands Management Team

LOS ANGELES—sbe, a lifestyle hospitality company, has appointed Tawny Paperd as director of sales & marketing; Leah Levar as director of human resources; and Gavin Stephenson as executive chef and director of food & beverage of SLS Seattle.

The luxury lifestyle hotel will span 16 floors of The Mark, a 48-story Class-A+ office tower located in downtown Seattle.

Paperd’s knowledge and experience span hospitality with leadership positions in F&B, catering, sales and marketing for Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers, Salish Lodge & Spa, Hotel 1000 and Four Seasons Hotel Seattle.

Levar brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience to SLS Seattle having served as the human resources executive for the Olympic Hotel since 1994.

Stephenson’s most recent role was executive chef of the Fairmont Olympic Hotel and member of the national Fairmont Corporate Food and Beverage Council. Prior to making Seattle his home, Stephenson was executive sous chef at a Ritz Carlton Chicago and the executive sous chef at the Regent London UK.

The hotel will showcase 189 guestrooms and suites, nearly 28,000 sq. ft. of conference and event space, Ciel Spa and fitness facilities, along with 13,000 sq. ft. of F&B offerings. There will also be an onsite regionally influenced restaurant.
