NEW YORK–The Sheraton Hotel & Towers here is set to begin a $150 million renovation.
As part of the project, the property will expand the size of its 1,780 guestrooms and also create a new club lounge. The first phase, which will include the renovation of 1,080 rooms, including 32 suites, and the club lounge, is scheduled for completion in May. The remaining rooms will begin renovations in December for completeion by April 2012. Wilson Associates New York office is leading the design of the project.
The new guestrooms will feature rich color palettes, wall-mounted flat screen televisions, new bedding, minibar units that are built into the wall, new furnishings and completely upgraded bathrooms. The club lounge is being redesigned to offer expanded seating capacity, an integrated business center and five televisions.
