Senate Hospitality becomes Wellengood Partners

Hospitality management and development company Senate Hospitality is beginning a new chapter as Wellengood Partners.

Founded in 2002, the company has developed and managed properties ranging from 80 to nearly 3,000 rooms, both established brands and emerging lifestyle concepts, as well as luxury destinations and entertainment venues.

The team at Wellengood Partners includes Glenn Malone, founder/president/CEO; Garrett Mathieu, partner/VP, development and technical services; and Eddie Corley, partner/VP, accounting & financial planning.

“The entire hospitality industry and world changed last year,” said Malone. “Starting this new chapter as Wellengood Partners, our organization is ready to bring great new projects to dynamic markets, bringing hotel investors and lenders assets that are uniquely positioned in their respective markets to outperform our competitors. We will be announcing several new and exciting projects in the coming months. Garrett, Eddie and I are here to help first-time hotel investors, seasoned real estate investors and hospitality veterans achieve their goals.”

Wellengood Partners is currently managing an array of projects including The Westin Memphis Beale Street, as well as two soon-to-be-announced resorts surrounding the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Its asset management portfolio includes The Smokey Cigar, Whiskey Bent Saloon and Bootleggers Inn, all located in Nashville. The company is also a consultant on Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort’s development of a 725-room convention hotel, as it does on many hotel development projects.

The name Wellengood comes from the phrase well and good, reflecting the company’s commitment to making sure clients, customers and employees are always well and good.
