Rosewood Names Chief Development Officer
Rosewood Hotel Group strengthens its development division with the appointment of Karl Bieberach-Dielman as chief development officer. Joining later this year, Bieberach-Dielman will lead the global development and feasibility team to strategically expand the footprint for the group’s three distinct brands including ultra-luxury Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, deluxe New World Hotels & Resorts and neighborhood lifestyle Pentahotels.
With more than 20 years of experience in development, Bieberach-Dielman has worked extensively in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the U.S. Prior to joining Rosewood, he held a variety of senior roles during his 15-year tenure at Starwood Hotels & Resorts including VP, head of European development; VP of development based in Paris; VP of feasibility and investment analysis for Europe, Africa and Middle East; and director of acquisitions and development in EAME. Prior to Starwood, he was director of development planning and feasibility in Latin America and the Caribbean at Marriott International.
Rosewood Expands Digital Marketing Team
Timothee Semelin has been appointed corporate director of digital marketing and transformation for Rosewood Hotel Group. In his role, Semelin will be responsible for building the hotel group’s digital culture and exploring emerging trends in the technology space to enhance the digital guest experience.
Semelin brings more than 10 years of experience in sales and marketing strategies, with a high level of competency in partnership marketing within the digital space. Prior to joining Rosewood Hotel Group, Semelin was regional account director for marketing solutions in China, Hong Kong and South Korea at LinkedIn. Previously, he served as VP of sales and marketing at YouFu Media in China and client director at Posterscope China, part of Dentsu Aegis Network China.
Amy Weinberg to Lead World of Hyatt Loyalty Program
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has selected Amy Weinberg as SVP, World of Hyatt loyalty program.
Weinberg reports to Mark Vondrasek, EVP, global head of loyalty and new business platforms. In this role, Weinberg will direct Hyatt’s global World of Hyatt loyalty experience and teams, including program strategy and innovation, partnerships, operations and management.
Weinberg joins Hyatt with more than 20 years of experience in building brand strength in loyalty through consumer insights, market research, and strategic marketing and operations. Most recently, she spent two years as GM for Groupdigital.com Corp, consulting for a variety of disciplines, including hospitality, hotel management, real estate ownership and development companies.
New Director of Sales & Marketing Joins LondonHouse Chicago
LondonHouse Chicago has named Don Barnett as director of sales and marketing. In this role, Barnett guides the strategic development of the hotel’s marketing and sales teams.
Barnett brings more than 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having worked with a variety of full-service properties, ranging from convention hotels to resorts to boutique properties. In Barnett’s previous role, he served as the complex assistant director of sales at Embassy Suites and DoubleTree in Rosemont, IL.
In addition to Barnett’s aptitude for hospitality, he also spent seven years as a part-owner of his family’s business, where he gained a strengthened work ethic and a respect for revenue.
