Rosewood Hotel Group Adds Execs to Global Team

HONG KONG—Rosewood Hotel Group continues its worldwide growth with the appointment of several new executive team members: Bede Barry as VP, operations, Americas; Micah Friedman as CIO, global; Milet Lukey as VP, talent and culture, Americas; Jeffery Wong as VP, finance, Americas and Europe; and Jack Xiao as VP, financial controller, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

Barry joins Rosewood Hotel Group with more than 30 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry. Most recently, Barry was the VP of operations at The Venetian Macao and The Parisian Macao under Sands China Ltd.

Bringing more than 30 years of hospitality and technology experience, Friedman will lead the global IT organization and work with Rosewood Hotel Group’s leaders to craft and drive a digital business transformation. Most recently, Friedman led travel and hospitality management consulting for Cognizant Technology Solutions and previously oversaw Oracle Corporation’s hospitality industry business unit.

Previously VP, talent and culture at Auberge Resorts Collection, Lukey joins Rosewood with a background of more than 25 years of experience in leadership roles at luxury hospitality houses.

Wong comes to the group from AccorHotels Group, where he most recently served as VP of finance and business support for North and Central America. In this role, Wong was responsible for overseeing 90 hotels in 10 countries across 25 different brands, while simultaneously supporting development opportunities to optimize unit growth.

Following a term at manufacturing company Kohler Co., as director of finance for the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa territories, Xiao joins Rosewood as a member of the brand’s global finance leadership team to support company-wide corporate initiatives.

In addition, Achim Lenders, Caroline MacDonald and Irene Hoek have assumed the role of global VP within their corresponding fields of operations, sales & marketing and residential development, respectively. Simultaneously, Frederic Vidal, Daniel Scott and Davide Bertilaccio now serve as regional VPs of properties in their respective regions.
