Resorts World and JW Marriott Debut New Spas

NATIONAL REPORT—Resorts World and JW Marriott are making it easier for their guests to pamper themselves with the arrival of new spas.

Resorts World Catskills Debuts Crystal Life Spa

Resorts World Catskills in Monticello, NY has opened Crystal Life Spa. The casino-resort is the first to bring the spa brand, the only Feng Shui-inspired spa at sea, to land.

“We’re excited to be the first property to bring the luxurious Crystal Life Spa to land and to North America,” said Ryan Eller, CEO of Empire Resorts. “Crystal Life Spa consistently ranks among the world’s top spa experiences and we are proud to be able to offer this luxury brand experience to our patrons to enjoy.”

Crystal Spa is designed with the principles of Feng Shui, the ancient practice of balance and harmony, creating a tranquil environment for guests to enjoy. Dream Cruises, the luxury cruise brand of Genting Cruise Lines, launched the spa experience on its Genting Dream cruise ship in October 2017.

To mark the official grand opening, Resorts World Catskills kicked off the day with a ribbon cutting ceremony with remarks from Eller. The full day of serenity away from the city included yoga and meditation led by Elisa Piscitelli, E-RYT, a clean eating lunch at Butterfly Beach Pool Bar, and complimentary spa treatments. The day concluded with a special speaking engagement from skincare and holistic wellness expert Ling Chan.

The resort’s 8,000-sq.-ft. Crystal Life Spa has six treatment rooms, as well as an array of eastern and western treatments. Curated treatments include massages, facials, and body treatments including scrubs and a clay-detoxifying wrap.

JW Marriott Nashville Launches New Spa

The recently opened JW Marriott Nashville has launched Spa by JW on the property.

Curated by Spa Director Kendra Rice, the spa offers guests “a wellness experience that inspires relaxation, clarity and self-care through an expertly tailored treatment menu” including Aromatherapy Associates and Natura Bisse products.

Conceptualized by design firm Stonehill Taylor, the spa interiors are designed to create an environment that is welcoming and calming. Warm and organic materials, such as blonde wood and bronze accents, are coupled with residential features and plush seating to create an ethereal atmosphere. Situated on the third floor next to a 10,000-sq.-ft outdoor pool deck, Spa by JW is uses natural light from the space’s floor-to-ceiling windows while steel, stone and glass contrast with the natural color palette.

Located on the third floor of the hotel, the 4,000-sq.-ft. spa has five treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge and a boutique.

Prior to joining the team at JW Marriott Nashville, Rice was the spa and health club director at Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago and served as spa consultant for The Breakers Palm Beach.
