PITTSBURGH—The Residence Inn Pittsburgh Oakland/University Place is scheduled to open here this Wednesday.
The hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by MWK Forbes II LLC and managed by North Star Lodging Management Inc. of Pittsburgh.
The 144-suite hotel will have studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. They are designed for stays of five nights or more and offer a fully equipped kitchen, coffeemaker, microwave oven and residential-sized appliances.
Hotel amenities include a grocery delivery service, complimentary WiFi, an indoor swimming pool and exercise room, among others.
Currently, the property is pursing a LEED certification.
Residence Inn by Marriott has more than 700 properties in 10 countries worldwide.
