Mondrian South Beach Reveals Renovation
Mondrian South Beach on Miami Beach’s Biscayne Bay has revealed a $20 million property-wide transformation. Located on West Ave. with direct marina access, the 220-room property is now accepting reservations starting Nov. 16. The renovation is being led by hotel partners Russell Galbut of Crescent Heights and chairman of Norwegian Cruise Line and Michael S. Liebowitz CEO/founder of Harbor Group Consulting. Designed by locally based Peter Oleck and Danny Cubes of OS Design Group, Mondrian South Beach’s renovation embodies the spirit of an oceanfront oasis by combining imported natural materials sourced throughout the world.

Le Parc Suite Hotel Completes Transformation
Le Parc Suite Hotel has completed a $12-million transformation encompassing 154 suites, lobby, meeting space, corridors and a new fitness center. Designed by Alison Andrus of waldrop+nichols studio, Le Parc Suite Hotel has been reimagined to emulate an exclusive art collector’s upscale metropolitan residence. Inspired by its location in the Design District of West Hollywood, Le Parc features a curated collection of locally inspired original artwork, along with vibrant, bold details within a clean and sophisticated architectural palette.

Newport’s Hotel Viking Unveils Renovations to Destination Spa Fjör
Newport’s historic Hotel Viking has revealed extensive renovations to Spa Fjör, its 1,100-sq.-ft. fitness center and the 720-sq.-ft. foot pool. With design led by White Space Designs, Spa Fjör now features six revamped treatment rooms and an expanded relaxation room with a Himalayan sea salt wall.

Hotel Amarano Burbank-Hollywood Debuts Renovation and Rebrand
Hotel Amarano Burbank-Hollywood has completed a renovation to its lobby, public areas, guestrooms, meeting and event spaces and a new bar and restaurant. Surrounded by film studio ranches, the 132-room Hotel Amarano is a private sanctuary in the heart of the world’s entertainment capital, infused with old Hollywood glam. The interior design and branding, conceived by Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), are personified by a fictional muse and gracious host named Amara.

Sandals South Coast Reveals New Design Plans
Sandals Resorts International has revealed design plans of a multimillion-dollar renovation at its Jamaican property, Sandals South Coast. Set to debut this December, guests can expect a new era for the resort company with the addition of the world’s first-ever Swim-up Rondoval Suites, positioned on a 17,040-sq.-ft. pool. There’s also a reimagined 112-room Dutch Village with direct access to two new swim-up pools. A modern wedding venue is being added to adorn the garden in the resorts Italian Village.

Palace Resorts Completes $40M Update of Sun Palace
Palace Resorts has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of Sun Palace, the brand’s luxury adults-only resort in Cancun, Mexico. The property has reopened after undergoing improvements and a transformation to its interiors and exteriors with a redesigned lobby, upgrades and new features to its meeting space, redesigned guest suites, new dining options and new modern decor to its common spaces, bars and lounges. Exteriors were redesigned by Palace Resorts’ in-house architects, and interiors were designed by a team led by Claudia Ferreiro.
