RALEIGH, NC—The Raleigh Marriott City Center will undergo a series of improvements to modernize meeting spaces and event facilities, as well as introduce a new dining experience.
Earlier this month, the hotel began revitalizing the pre-function and ballroom areas. The development of a new restaurant and bar and boardroom will commence in October.
Elevated design elements, including contemporary carpeting, lighting and furniture, will refurbish the hotel’s 15,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event spaces. The ballroom, pre-function and meeting areas will be revitalized with a neutral color scheme and stylish décor to enhance the overall aesthetic of the space. A modernized board room will complete the metamorphosis.
“The existing amenities at Raleigh Marriott City Center will be expanded and improved upon to further the guest experience for both travelers staying on-site and Raleigh residents”, stated Bill Hofmann, general manager. “Our hotel is located in the heart of Raleigh’s vibrant downtown area and we’re excited to follow the city’s evolution and growth, particularly with the introduction of a new restaurant.”
The hotel will debut a new dining concept, Rye Bar & Southern Kitchen, this winter. The transformation of the existing Italian concept, Posta Tuscan Grille and Bar Posta, will include an expanded entry point, a fireplace, chef and communal tables and al fresco dining. Under the leadership of hotel and restaurant Executive Chef Michael Rigot, Rye will showcase a Southern ambiance with wooden tables, pendant lighting and culinary-inspired elements. Tapping into the revolutionary craft beer scene, a bar tap wall featuring local breweries will complement the restaurant’s local and farm-to-table dishes.
