NATIONAL REPORT—Radisson Hotel Group has bolstered its position in North America with three openings in the U.S. and Canada.
Radisson Hotel Ames Conference Center
Radisson Hotel Ames Conference Center at ISU has opened, following a multimillion-dollar renovation. The refresh included upgrades to the guestrooms, lobby and exterior.
Located one mile from Iowa State University’s campus, the hotel offers 75 guestrooms and suites, a fitness center, business center, indoor pool, free WiFi and parking. Complimentary bicycles, helmets and bicycle locks are available at the hotel through a partnership with Cybike, a bike share program through the Ames Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The hotel can also serve as a venue for meetings and special events. The 4,500-sq.-ft. meeting space can accommodate up to 325 people. The event space can also be reconfigured into six different styles, along with being divided into smaller rooms.
Bistro 1864 is the hotel’s restaurant featuring a menu of classic American dishes. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner and offers local craft beer on tap and signature cocktails. A 24-hour marketplace is also available.
Radisson Kingswood Hotel & Suites, Fredericton, NB
Radisson has opened a property in New Brunswick, Canada: Radisson Kingswood Hotel & Suites, Fredericton, NB. The newly constructed hotel offers views of Kingswood Golf Course, which was named one of Canada’s best courses by Golf Digest. The hotel is also near Fredericton International Airport.
The hotel offers 121 guestrooms and suites. Pet-friendly rooms are available. Guests have access to a fitness center, business center, free WiFi, babysitting service and complimentary parking.
Along with being located on the Kingswood Golf Course, the hotel also has an on-site entertainment center that includes bowling, laser tag and arcade games with plans to open an indoor waterpark in summer 2018.
The hotel can also serve as a venue for meetings and special events. The 1,200-sq.-ft. meeting space can accommodate up to 200 people, with two attached outdoor patios that can fit an additional 200 guests.
Kingswood Bistro Brew Lounge is the hotel’s restaurant featuring a menu of bistro style Atlantic cuisine. The restaurant offers a variety of beers on tap, along with its own cider called the BBL Pomegranate Cider. Each item on the menu includes a beer pairing option to accentuate the flavors of the dish.
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lawrence, KS
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson has opened Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lawrence, KS.
Located within three miles of the University of Kansas, the hotel offers 89 guestrooms and suites. Each room features custom-designed White Water Collection bath amenities by Beekman 1802.
Throughout their stay, guests can also treat themselves to complimentary freshly baked cookies as well as coffee and tea.
Guests have access to an on-site fitness center, business center, an indoor pool, free WiFi and the brand’s complimentary, hot breakfast served daily on classic dining ware. The hotel can also host corporate functions and special events in its meeting space, which can accommodate up to 70 people.
