LOS ANGELES—PRG Hospitality Group is set to open the Sands Hotel & Spa in Indian Wells, CA.
The hotel, a late 1950s-era property has been completely reimagined with new building additions, substantial renovations and a complete redesign throughout, in collaboration with interiors designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard.
The team at PRG Hospitality formerly partnered with Bullard on the Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs and Casa Laguna Hotel and Spa in Laguna Beach.
The Sands Hotel & Spa has 46 guestrooms, including two suites and one presidential suite, all-new public spaces, pool deck and landscaping, a private wedding garden, a signature on-property restaurant and a full-service spa.
The property’s new design aesthetic reflects a mix of Bullard’s Moroccan-inspired influence and the mid-century vibe that is synonymous with the desert’s everlasting allure, according to the company.
A jewel-toned palette of emerald greens and deep blues accent the dusty desert rose pink backdrop found on the building’s reimagined exterior and many of its accents within. Black, white and glass details ground the design and bring both its mid-century heritage and contemporary, modern day style to life.
Rooms are appointed with Acqua di Parma bath essentials; Revival New York bed linens; signature Sonifi entertainment systems; and full-size in-room minibars with topline barware and stemware.
Elsewhere, there’s an all-new destination restaurant with a menu inspired by seasonal ingredients.
A newly designed signature spa will have three treatment rooms, including a couples treatment room, and a menu of Moroccan-inspired services featuring naturally sourced ingredients from Morocco.
