People on the move at JLL Capital Markets and Aimbridge

Executives in the hospitality industry have taken new roles. Here’s a look:

Quinn, Weaver join JLL Capital Markets
JLL Capital Markets has hired Melissa Marcolini Quinn and Lee Weaver as senior managing directors to oversee their respective offices’ debt and equity platform. In their new roles, Quinn co-leads the Orlando capital markets office alongside fellow Senior Managing Director Brad Peterson, and Weaver joins Senior Managing Director Matt Mitchell as the Tampa capital markets office co-lead.

Quinn has more than 17 years of experience specializing in the origination of debt, joint venture equity and structured finance and most recently led an Orlando capital markets office for a commercial services firm.

With more than 24 years of commercial real estate industry experience, Weaver led the Tampa capital markets office for a commercial services firm, where he was recognized as being in the top 10% of producers nationwide. Throughout the course of his 24-year career, he has originated commercial real estate loans from $3 million to $200 million, working with lending sources that include life insurance companies, pension funds, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA.

Together the team of Quinn and Weaver have worked on and originated billions of debt and equity investments across the country.

Joining Quinn in Orlando is Rob Rothaug as VP, production support in the Orlando office, He has 14 years of industry experience and serves as a senior analyst with responsibilities that include debt and equity underwriting, analytical modeling and deal execution.

Emily Moallem and Cody Mizelle are joining Weaver as associates, production support in the Tampa office. Moallem, who has more than seven years of industry experience, and Mizelle, who has worked in the industry for six years, will both assist Weaver and Quinn with the origination and closing of debt and equity capital.

Aimbridge names Shahid Javed EVP, procurement
Aimbridge Hospitality has appointed Shahid Javed as EVP, procurement, responsible for client facing procurement strategy. In his new role, Javed manages Aimbridge’s differentiated capabilities in hospitality procurement and capital management solutions. He reports directly to Tom Song, Aimbridge’s CFO.

With more than 25 years of procurement leadership and supply chain expertise across multiple industries and geographies, Javed most recently served as chief procurement officer at TIAA. Prior to that, he was JLL’s global chief procurement officer, transforming the global sourcing and procurement function with a combined purchasing power of more than $30 billion, implementing category management and utilizing data analytics and technology-based solutions for the commercial real estate services firm. He was also BP’s chief procurement officer for the U.S. onshore business, managing a multibillion-dollar annual third-party spend.
