Dish Offers Two Months Free for New Customers
Dish is offering two free months of bulk television service to new commercial business customers, including hotels, hospitals, senior living communities, student housing, apartments and more. Available through Dec. 31, this offer aims to provide economic relief to businesses nationwide impacted by COVID-19.

With this offer, commercial properties new to Dish are eligible to receive two months of free bulk programming, including America’s Top 120 package or above, add-on packages and leasing fees for Smartbox, Dish’s video distribution platform that powers HD programming over properties of all types and sizes. A minimum commitment is required.

In other Dish news, World Cinema, a provider of technology, services and connectivity to guest-centric properties, is offering up to four free months of Dish programming to new World Cinema customers. Building on Dish’s offer of two months free to new commercial properties, World Cinema will add another two months of free service.

The combined World Cinema and Dish promotion covers eligible bulk programming, add-ons and premium channels, and is valid for qualifying, new World Cinema and Dish properties that sign up by Nov. 1 and activate by Dec. 31. World Cinema is also providing free installation at the property through this special offer. Certain minimum commitments are required to qualify.

Beekeeper Closes a $10 Million Series B Extension
Beekeeper has closed on a $10-million extension on its series B round. The extension brings the round’s total to $60 million. The extension was led by Chicago-based Energize Ventures, with investment from HighSage Ventures, SwissCanto, Thayer, Swisscom, Investiere, Alpana Ventures and Swiss Post.

Beekeeper is using the additional funding to expand its cloud marketplace for apps, solutions and integrations, and has revealed a new evolution of its product: Beekeeper 2.0. The updated product creates a single point of contact for people, processes and systems to improve the productivity, agility and safety of frontline workers.

LG Offers Clean Remote With New Hotel TVs
LG Business Solutions USA is offering hotel operators a free Clean Remote with every new LG hotel TV. The special remote control is designed to be safer thanks to a nonporous, sealed membrane surface that can reduce bacteria and germs by as much as 99% compared to traditional remotes, according to Clean Remote LLC.

The Clean Remote connects seamlessly with all LG Hotel TV models, with no additional setup required. Each remote offers a simple layout and large, high visibility keys. Its spill-proof design prevents liquid damage, while its “not for home use” designation discourages theft and its hidden battery cover prevents battery loss.

Quest Griffith, Quest Robina Hotels Choose BeyondTV GuestCast
BeyondTV has implemented GuestCast at Quest Griffith and Quest Robina in Australia. With the implementation of BeyondTV GuestCast through Liveport, official partner of BeyondTV and provider of the BeyondTV GuestCast platform in Australia, both properties are now also able to extend guest senses of feeling at home to their in-room entertainment options with the ability to cast virtually any content of preference.

The franchisees of Quest Griffith, a 68-apartment property, and Quest Robina, a newly constructed 80-apartment hotel, selected BeyondTV and its BeyondTV GuestCast platform due to the company’s specialized expertise in providing cost-effective content casting technology that is tailored to the unique requirements of the hospitality industry, according to the company.

Optii Solutions Appoints Deborah Pevenstein as CRO
Deborah Pevenstein has joined Optii Solutions as its new CRO. According to the company, she has a track record of success helping large corporations and start-ups achieve their goals, growing strategically and profitably. Her expertise spans product positioning, customer marketing and go-to-market sales strategies for multiple hospitality, technology, financial services, and consumer goods brands. She has held senior roles within a number of corporations such as TravelClick and Citigroup.

Pevenstein will oversee sales and marketing, as well as the building out of Optii’s global footprint and customer base. She will form a central part of the team helping Optii customers to optimize their hotel operations on their pathway to recovery.
