INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Whether it’s celebrating an anniversary, receiving an award, earning a certification, debuting a new product or expanding the business, hotel companies and vendors achieve new milestones on a daily basis. Here’s a look at recent accomplishments:

Hilton Ranked #2 Best Places to Work for Millennials
Hilton has been named #2 on the Best Workplaces for Millennials list by Great Place to Work. This is the second consecutive year that Hilton’s millennial employees have rated the global hospitality company among the best employers for their generation, marking a rise from #26 in 2018. In 2018, Hilton hired almost 14,000 new millennial team members in the United States. Globally, 57% of Hilton’s more than 400,000 team members are millennials.

Through leadership and career development tools, Hilton offers opportunities to team members at every level of the organization, including millennials, who represent 39% of Hilton’s corporate managers and above. Team members receive benefits, ranging from parental leave, to financial well-being tools and resources, to travel discounts at Hilton hotels globally. Millennials also find networking and mentorship, as well as a space to voice their insights and feedback to the organization, through the Millennial Team Member Resource Group.

Delta Five Brings Bed Bug Technology to Connecticut Hotel
Delta Five Systems LLC, a supplier of solutions to stop bed bugs using computer vision, biological science and cloud technology, has installed its solution at the newly constructed Hilton Garden Inn Wallingford near Hartford, CT. The hotel had the Delta Five Automated Bed Bug Detection System installed after construction at the property in September 2017, and as a result, there have been zero bed bug infestations and zero guest/pest encounters as of June of this year. Some 235 Delta Five electronic lures were installed in all 139 guestrooms.

Assa Abloy Brings Solutions to Hotel in Romania
Assa Abloy Global Solutions has implemented its mobile access solution at the Sheraton Bucharest Hotel in Romania’s capital. The first Romanian hotel to provide Mobile Access functionality, property leadership has ensured that its guests experience seamless and convenient check-in by integrating the technology into its Marriott Bonvoy App. The solution was implemented alongside Signature RFID door locks.

Hunter Hotel Advisors Moves to New Offices
Hunter Hotel Advisors has moved to new offices at 4401 Northside Pkwy., Suite 920, Atlanta. This move caps off the 40th year celebration for the firm, and symbolizes “Hunter 3.0,” a reflection of its past, fulfillment of today’s needs and its journey into the future. The new facilities provide art technology and workspace efficiency, with room for additional staff as the firm grows. With anticipated 10% year-over-year transaction growth, Hunter plans to use the social spaces for client meetings and entertainment.

AHR Expo Now Accepting 2020 Innovation Awards Submissions
The AHR Expo (International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition) has opened its call for entries for the 2020 Innovation Awards Competition. The annual competition honors the most innovative and original products, systems and technologies showcased at each year’s AHR Expo. Exhibitors are encouraged to submit new or upgraded products for consideration through Aug. 6, 2019.
