Hilton Celebrates Renewed Partnership With Global Equality Fund

This year, Hilton celebrates its 100th anniversary and partnership with the Global Equality Fund (GEF), managed by the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, by calling on the travel and hospitality industry to join them as a GEF partner. To inspire other companies to join, Hilton will be hosting an event with the Global Equality Fund highlighting the work of GEF-supported activists and grantees. The Global Equality Fund, funded by more than 25 governments, foundations and corporations and, provides critical emergency, short-term, and long-term assistance to advance and protect the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) persons in over 90 countries worldwide.

Grupo Vidanta Named Best Companies to Work for in Mexico

During the awards ceremony that distinguishes “The Best Places to Work,” held on May 8th, the consulting firm for Great Place to Work in Mexico once again recognized Grupo Vidanta—a developer of resorts and tourism and entertainment infrastructures in Mexico and Latin America—for the ninth consecutive year, within the top 10 of the best companies to work for in Mexico in the “Big Company” category.

InTown Suites continues its over 10-year partnership with Showtime Networks Inc. with the exciting addition of the Showtime Hotel App to all Uptown Suites properties.

As a new extended-stay brand, Uptown Suites is now providing guests with complimentary access to the Showtime App on the in-room TV, without the need to login or enter a password. With just a click of the remote, guests can have instant access to a vast library of programming, including current and past seasons original series like, Billions, The Chi, Homeland, Ray Donovan, and more. They will also have access to hundreds of movies, comedy specials, documentaries and hard-hitting sports, right from the comfort of their suite.

RMS Releases New Software

The Hospitality Cloud, a cloud­based property management system provider, announced a product update to its all­in­one reservation and property management software, RMS 9+. This release includes a number of enhancements for hotel, RV park, campground and marina clients currently using RMS software to manage their properties.
