LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL—Jerry Parquette has been named the food and beverage director of the B Resort located in Walt Disney World, scheduled to debut early 2014.
Parquette will be responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations at the new lifestyle resort in Lake Buena Vista, including the resort’s signature restaurant, American Q. In addition, he will be overseeing the Pickup, a new grab-and-go concept that includes ice cream window service, pool bar, room service and catering for meetings and events.
In his most recent position as the director of food and beverage at the 1,100–room DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at Seaworld Resort, Parquette was responsible for upgrading and repositioning all food and beverage concepts, as well revamping the banquets department. Prior to that, he served as the food and beverage executive overseeing the 400-room Sheraton North Hotel and Conference Center.
The B Resort, formerly the Royal Plaza Hotel, will offer 394 newly renovated guestrooms and suites and over 25,000 sq. ft. of meeting and function space.
