On the Move: Kempinski Hotels, OLS Hotels & Resorts; More

NATIONAL REPORT—Hotel Business is tracking appointments. Several companies have made adjustments to their rosters, including Kempinski Hotels, OLS Hotels & Resorts, Hansgrohe and KAI.

Kempinski Hotels Promotes Elder to Chief Commercial Officer
Kempinski Hotels has promoted Amanda Elder to the position of chief commercial officer. She first joined Kempinski in 2014 as VP of sales and marketing for the company in China, where she oversaw all arms of business development for this market. More recently, as SVP of business development, she led the teams responsible for sales, marketing, distribution, revenue management and hotel public relations worldwide.

OLS Hotels & Resorts Taps Robinson as VP
OLS Hotels & Resorts has appointed Rob Robinson to VP. Prior to joining OLS Hotels & Resorts, he worked for Highgate, a real estate investment and hospitality management company. Most recently, he served as managing director, overseeing hotels in Highgate’s Waikiki portfolio.

During his tenure in Hawaii, Highgate grew to nearly 3,000 rooms in the Waikiki market. Prior to this role, he served as GM of the 839-room Pacific Beach Hotel. Previously, he held several executive leadership roles with both Highgate and Kimpton Hotels in the San Francisco Bay Area in properties ranging from 200 to more-than-1,000 rooms.

Hansgrohe Hires Bahr as President, GM
Hansgrohe has appointed Oliver Bahr as president/GM. Bahr comes to Hansgrohe having worked with well-recognized manufacturers in the building products and power tools sector.

He most recently served as the president of the Franke Kitchen Systems North American business unit. Prior to that, Bahr was VP of sales with Franke from 2013–2017. Before joining the plumbing sector, Bahr held several key positions with the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation from 2006–2013, after working with the Stanley Black & Decker Corporation.

KAI Promotes Moomey to New Director of Design-Build Position
KAI Design & Build has promoted Marcus Moomey to the new position of director of design-build in KAI’s Build Group. He held the position of director of architecture for the past three years.

During his tenure at KAI, which began in 2005, Moomey has served in a variety of positions in design, construction and firm leadership, where he has been responsible for planning and executing projects, overseeing construction sites and managing project objectives, requirements and personnel. He has a total of 20 years of industry experience designing, managing and constructing a wide variety of projects.
