On the Move: Hilton, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, PWI Construction

NATIONAL REPORT—Several women have risen to leadership positions within the hospitality industry, including roles at Hilton, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, and PWI Construction Inc. Here’s a closer look:

Hilton Appoints New CIO
Hilton has appointed Noelle Eder as EVP and chief information and digital officer, effective March 19. As chief card customer experience officer at Capital One Financial Corp., she was responsible for leading the digital transformation of Capital One’s customer experience for the company’s $15-billion credit card business. She also spent nine years at Intuit, most recently as SVP and chief customer care officer.

Preferred Hotels & Resorts Strengthens Leadership Team
Preferred Hotels & Resorts has promoted Michelle Woodley to president; Kristie Goshow to CMO; and Caroline Michaud as EVP of corporate communications and publication relations.

During her 15-year tenure with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Woodley has held a variety of positions including SVP of global marketing of strategy; SVP of revenue management and distribution; and, most recently, EVP. Prior to joining Preferred Hotels & Resorts in 2002, she spent more than 10 years holding various senior positions in marketing, operations and distribution for international hotel chains such as Swissôtel and Raffles Hotels & Resorts.

Goshow has led teams across the airline, hospitality and travel technology spaces for companies such as Sabre Hospitality, Jumeirah, and, most recently, Viceroy Hotel Group, where she was responsible for managing the company’s brand marketing, digital, distribution, international sales and technology strategies as SVP of commercial.

Since joining Preferred Hotels & Resorts in 2012 as senior manager of public relations for the Americas, Michaud has orchestrated several extensive media campaigns. Previously, she worked at progressive travel- and hospitality-focused public relations agencies in New York City and Chicago.

PWI Construction Names New VP
PWI Construction Inc. has promoted veteran Mary Lipka to VP. She will work closely with the president and EVP, developing business strategies and action plans while overseeing finance, administrative, human resources and project coordinator functions. She joined the company more than 20 years ago.
