CASABLANCA, MOROCCO—Four Seasons has appointed Olivier Thomas as general manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca, located here and slated to open in the first quarter of 2015.

Thomas, a 20-year hospitality industry veteran, previously served as hotel manager of Four Seasons Hotel Prague. He joined Four Seasons in 2008 in Amman and then moved to Prague in 2010.

Christian Clerc, SVP, Hotel Operations, Europe, Middle East and Asia, stated: “A proven leader with vast industry knowledge, Olivier is ideally suited to firmly establish Four Seasons as the only choice for the discerning traveler visiting Casablanca.”

Thomas stated, “Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca is an incredible opportunity to expand our presence in the region. The urban property overlooking the ocean will appeal to business and leisure travelers alike. I look forward to working with a strong team to deliver world-renowned, customized Four Seasons service and introduce a new standard of luxury in this growing market.”

The 186-key hotel is part of Anfa Place, a mixed-use development located near the Corniche District. The waterfront community is designed to include residential, commercial and retail space.
