NATIONAL REPORT—Las Vegas gets a new addition, dual-brands open in the Northeast, plus more. Here are the details on the recent U.S. openings:
NoMad Las Vegas is Open
NoMad Las Vegas has opened. The hotel was conceived by Sydell Group in partnership with 2017 World’s Best Restaurant winners Chef Daniel Humm and restaurateur Will Guidara. Designed by French architect Jacques Garcia, NoMad Las Vegas’ 293 rooms and suites are situated on the top four floors of Park MGM.
The hotel includes NoMad Bar, an all-day dining destination with breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night menus curated by Chef Humm. The Restaurant, a NoMad signature, will make its debut in November, along with private dining spaces and meeting rooms.
Hotel Near Boston Has New Check-In Experience
Colwen Hotels and Marriott International have opened the dual-brand Residence Inn/Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Boston Waltham. The dual-branded hotel offers 96 guestrooms by the Fairfield Inn for shorter stays and 96 guestrooms by the Residence Inn with fully equipped kitchens for extended stays.
The property is the first-of-its-kind Marriott dual-branded hotel to open in New England with a single guest-arrival experience. Shared amenities and common public spaces include an upscale lobby and reception desk, multiple soft seating zones and a bar and lounge. There’s also a swimming pool, fitness center, convenience market and business center.
New England Hotel Opens in Historic Town
The New Bedford Harbor Hotel, managed by the Waterford Hotel Group Inc., has joined the Ascend Hotel Collection portfolio of hotels and resorts by Choice Hotels International. The hotel is located in the historic seaside community of New Bedford, MA.
The hotel has the following amenities:
• Lobby bistro with New England-inspired light bites, local beer and craft cocktails
• Fitness room
• Cable and digital entertainment on 40-in. flat-screen televisions
• Complimentary breakfast
• Meeting rooms for small groups and a reception hall for events
