MILWAUKEE—Marcus Hotels & Resorts has appointed Kevin Karau to the role of general manager of Heidel House Resort & Spa in Green Lake, WI. The company has also tapped Mark Fenton to assume the same position at Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark in Lake Geneva, WI.
Heidel House includes 18,000 sq. ft. of meeting space; 180 guestrooms; dining establishments such as Grey Rock restaurant; and Evensong Spa.
Karau served as general manager of Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark since 2014. He joined Marcus Hotels & Resorts in 2013 as director of operations for the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa.
Karau’s career in hospitality spans more than 20 years. He attended Belmont Abby College in North Carolina.
Fenton joins Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark after serving as resident manager at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. The property includes Moose Mountain Falls, a 50,000-sq.-ft. indoor/outdoor waterpark, 225 suites, meeting spaces and a family barbecue restaurant.
Prior to joining Marcus Hotels in 2014, Fenton was with Hyatt Hotels Corporation for nearly 25 years. He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in hotel and restaurant management and attended Les Roches, a Swiss hotel school.
