New Element at Toronto Airport and More Openings

INTERNATIONAL REPORT—The latest Element and SpringHill Suites properties make their debut, while the University of Florida gets a new hotel this summer.

Element Toronto Airport
The 144-room Element Toronto Airport opens June 24 across the street from the Toronto Pearson International Airport’s Terminal 3. The new all-suite, extended-stay hotel is operated as a Marriott franchise and is owned and managed by Easton’s Group of Hotels.

Each outdoor-inspired guest suite is larger than a traditional hotel room and includes a fully equipped kitchen; separate living area and workspace; oversized closets; a spa-inspired bathroom; a signature Heavenly Bed; high-speed WiFi; and 55-in. Smart TVs.

The dual-brand property will share a lobby and services with the Four Points by Sheraton Toronto Airport. Amenities include an indoor swimming pool and whirlpool spa; a 24-hour fitness center; an outdoor patio with barbecue grills; an on-site grab & go café; a complimentary airport shuttle; and 10 flexible meeting rooms with 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. F&B offerings include the Rise complimentary breakfast; Moments restaurant and lounge; and the 24/7 Market.

SpringHill Suites Atlanta Alpharetta/Roswell
The 90-suite SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta Alpharetta/Roswell in Roswell, GA, has opened and will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Xama Hospitality LLC and managed by Horizon Hospitality Management Inc. of Alpharetta, GA.

Each suite also features the SpringHill Suites’ custom, three-in-one West Elm sofa, which converts from a sofa to a daybed to a trundle bed, along with a West Elm Swivel Chair, a designated workspace and the latest in-room entertainment technology.

Other amenities include daily complimentary breakfast, business services, complimentary WiFi, same-day dry cleaning, two meeting rooms, guest laundry facilities, a 24/7 market, an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor patio and a fitness center.

Hotel Eleo at the University of Florida
Hotel Eleo at the University of Florida, a boutique hotel managed by Pyramid Hotel Group, will open this summer in Gainesville, FL. Located on the campus of the University of Florida, the hotel will feature an upscale restaurant; flexible meeting and event space; and a fitness studio.

The 173 rooms and suites are equipped with Qi wireless phone chargers, two televisions and streaming services, including Hulu, YouTube and Pandora. In-room bath amenities by L’Occitane en Provence include items from both the Verbena and Aromachologie collections.

The property’s 1,100-sq.-ft. meeting and event space features smart technology with two 100-in. flatscreen 4K HD televisions, as well as WiFi-enabled AV equipment. The space accommodates up to 180 guests reception style and can be divided by an air-wall, creating two separate rooms. Covey Kitchen + Cocktails, located across from the meeting space, offers additional options for events, including a private dining alcove, 1,440 sq. ft. of indoor dining space and an outdoor terrace.
