ABERDEEN, SD—My Place Hotels of America has launched a groundbreaking tour this week, visiting four new franchises in four days. My Place President and CEO Ryan Rivett will lead a delegation from Las Vegas to Nashville, TN, and then end the week of groundbreakings in Des Moines, IA, where two My Place hotels are planned.
With a focus on franchise development and support, Rivett noted the brand is making daily strides toward the 2024 goal of 1,000 open locations. “We’re hitting our stride in franchise development and looking toward achieving tangible, critical mass this year,” he said. “The first quarter has been fantastic, and we’ve taken six franchise sales from concept discussion to planning just this week.”
The first stop will be in Las Vegas, which will be home to the state’s first My Place hotel. The next city on the tour will be Nashville, TN, which will also mark the brand’s debut in the state. And finally, the week of groundbreakings will end with two celebrations in Des Moines, IA, where owner Matt Eller’s first My Place hotels are being built simultaneously within 10 miles of each other.
Each extended-stay guestroom will feature a My Kitchen, complete with a two-burner cooktop, a microwave and a full refrigerator. My Place properties are pet friendly and will also include on-site laundry facilities, complimentary internet service and a 24-hour My Store in the hotel lobby. Additionally, there will be a Breakfast in Bed option for a minimal cost.
