Moxy Berlin Opens in Germany

BETHESDA, MD—Moxy Hotels, Marriott International’s experiential hotel brand, welcomes the new Moxy Berlin into the heart of Germany’s capital.

Moxy Berlin aims to shake-up the traditional hotel experience by offering next-generation travelers a spirited and stylish hotel experience at an affordable price point, according to the brand. Moxy Berlin joins Moxy Frankfurt Eschborn and Moxy Munich Airport as the brand’s third experiential hotel in Germany, and the brand’s sixth hotel globally.

Centrally located in the city’s cultural epicenter, Ostbahnhof, the 210-room hotel is within walking distance of the city’s bars, independent shops and late-19th-century architecture. Main transportation hubs are also within reach.

The hotel’s design features communal spaces, including its living rooms, game rooms and bar. The Moxy experience is “no place like home,” it’s better; a bartender greets guests with a complimentary cocktail upon arrival, according to the brand.

Emerging artists from around the world are invited to participate in the brand’s #BlankCanvas global initiative and submit works, ranging from live performance art to a permanent installation, for the chance to be featured as part of the contemporary, emerging art collection at the hotel.

The interiors fuse refined and raw materials, organic and linear lines and shared spaces. The Moxy experience kicks-off with a bright and airy lobby. Guests of Moxy Berlin are encouraged to take a selfie in the photo booth-inspired hotel elevators, complete with props.

Guestrooms range from standard to family size, outfitted with sound-reducing walls, 42-in. LCD flat screen televisions, free WiFi, USB ports, deep-seated armchairs in neutral fabrics. Every bedroom makes a statement with a floor-to-ceiling art piece. Bathrooms feature complimentary Muk toiletries, bright pink hair dryers, power showers and large mirrors alongside a spacious vanity area.

Moxy’s 24/7 B&F (beverage & food) is a self-service concept, while the dining area offers various options for food and drink. An evening crockpot entrée will be served along with a variety of cocktails, craft beers and specialty wines.
