Xenia Hotels & Resorts’ Names Board Chairman
Xenia Hotels & Resorts Inc.’s board of directors elected Marcel Verbaas to the role of chairman of the board. He will also continue to serve as the company’s CEO. The board has appointed Barry A.N. Bloom to the position of president and COO. The current chairman of the board, Jeffrey H. Donahue, will now serve as lead director of the board.
Sbe Appoints Chief Culinary Officer
Sbe has appointed Martin Heierling as its first-ever chief culinary officer. He will lead sbe and subsidiary company Disruptive Restaurant Group’s culinary strategy across its current brand portfolio, overseeing collaboration with sbe’s concept chefs and more than 112 venues globally, including 26 Umami Burgers. He joins as a consultant until the end of the year and will assume the role in January 2018, working closely with Sam Nazarian, sbe founder and CEO; Jorge Giannattasio, COO; and Daniel del Olmo, CEO of Disruptive Restaurant Group & Umami Burger.
Provenance Hotels Names Regional Director of Operations
Provenance Hotels has promoted John Price to regional director of operations for the company’s independent lifestyle hotels in Tennessee and Louisiana. In his new role, Price will assume responsibility for Hotel Preston in Nashville, TN. As regional director of operations in the Southeast, he will oversee operations, revenue generation, cost and quality management and capital planning for as well as the takeover and repositioning of future Provenance Hotels ventures in the region.
Global Hotel Alliance Appoints Head of Loyalty Marketing, CRM
Global Hotel Alliance has appointed Robin Korman as head of loyalty marketing and CRM. She has a 25-year track record of driving multimillion-dollar revenue growth for hotel and credit card brands, including Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Hotels, Citibank Credit Cards, JPMorgan Chase and GE Capital. She joins GHA after four years of consulting on loyalty, customer engagement and partnerships to hotel companies, marketing agencies, private equity and hedge fund firms, and membership-based businesses.
