Marriott Targets India

MUMBAI, INDIA–Marriott International plans to expand its portfolio in India from 11 hotels to 100 hotels by 2015.

Marriott development executives envision seven of its brands operating in India, one of the worlds fastest developing markets. The brands range from luxury Ritz-Carlton to limited-service Fairfield Inn. Many global, multi-brand companies have targeted India for upper-upscale and luxury development; few have targeted the market for their moderate-priced brands.
