NEW YORK–Marriott International and Granite Broadway Development plan to develop a 68-story dual-brand hotel on West 54 St. here that will be the tallest hotel building in New York.
The project will include both a 375-room Courtyard by Marriott on the lower floors and a 261-room Residence Inn by Marriott on the towers upper floors. The design of the 753-foot high building will be by architect Nobutaka Ashihara. Ashiharas design calls for the two brands to share a main entrance and arrival lobby as well as a fitness center on the 34th floor.
Interstate Hotels & Resorts has been named to manage the property, which is scheduled for completion in late-2013.
