BARCELONA—Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona has added 17 suites and five additional rooms to its inventory, bringing the total room count to 120.
Each of the new rooms and suites range from 475 to more than 1,300 sq. ft., and all have been designed with an emphasis on style and space. Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola, who was responsible for the interior design of Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, has been re-commissioned to create the decor for the new rooms, following the same avant-garde and cosmopolitan style that characterizes the hotel.
The luxurious suites include balconies overlooking Passeig de Gracia and the famous modernist landmark building from Gaudi, Casa Batllo, or the hotel’s Mimosa garden. Fusing contemporary design with elements of the group’s oriental heritage, these suites amenities such as private butler service available to cater to all guest needs.
