Management Companies Expand Their Portfolios

INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Here and abroad, companies are adding to their portfolios with new properties. Here’s a look at the recent management deals:

Paramount Hotel Group to Manage DoubleTree in Fairfield, NJ
Paramount Hotel Group has a management contract for the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites in Fairfield, NJ. The 204-room hotel has a 24-hour fitness center, indoor pool, business center and more than 16,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space. The DoubleTree by Hilton Fairfield is near major area highways and in close proximity to Meadowlands Expo Center, Newark International Airport, New York City and the recently opened American Dream Expo in nearby Secaucus, NJ.

Aimbridge Hospitality Selected to Manage Three Marriott Properties in Indianapolis
Aimbridge Hospitality has been selected to manage three Marriott International-branded properties located in Indianapolis. The portfolio includes Marriott Indianapolis East, Fairfield Inn & Suites Indianapolis East and Delta Indianapolis East. The hotels are owned by U.S. OCG. This management agreement marks the first partnership between U.S. OCG and Aimbridge Hospitality. The three properties, which share a parking lot, are in close proximity to downtown. The Delta Indianapolis East recently underwent a full renovation including a rebrand from La Quinta. Beginning in 2020, both the Marriott Indianapolis East and Fairfield Inn & Suites Indianapolis East will undergo renovations.

The Hotel Group Adds TownePlace to Portfolio in Ellensburg, WA
The Hotel Group has added TownePlace Suites by Marriott Ellensburg, Washington to its growing portfolio. The property broke ground this week and is scheduled to open in February 2021. The Hotel Group and Hogback Development are partnering on Ellensburg’s first Marriott branded hotel. The extended-stay, 107 room all-suite hotel is located in Central Washington State, close to Central Washington University and near restaurants and retail outlets.

AMResorts Secures Management Deal for Aruba Resort
AMResorts, an Apple Leisure Group (ALG) company, has locked in a new resort brand management deal Aruba. The agreement will bring the first Secrets Resorts & Spa-branded property to the island, with the 600-key Secrets Baby Beach Aruba situated alongside Baby Beach, a popular white sand-lagoon in the Southern part of Aruba, close to San Nicolas. Completion is currently slated for the fourth quarter of 2021. The hotel has on-site food and beverage options and nighttime entertainment.
