LodgeNet Poised To Host Third Annual Customer Technology Symposium

BOSTON—LodgeNet Interactive Corporation, a provider of media and connectivity solutions to the hospitality industry, is poised to host its third annual Customer Technology Symposium at the Fairmont Copley Plaza here.

Taking place from Oct. 5-7, “Technology Innovation: Review, Rethink. Re-energize” will feature two days of presentation and panel discussions focusing on the operational, financial and guest service implications of current and emerging hospitality technologies. The event will be attended by executives from major hospitality brands, hotel owners and management companies as well as industry media and representatives from a broad range of technology companies.

Hotel Business editor Dennis Nessler will moderate an LAN Panel entitled “Converge, Diverge, Emerge and Submerge: Strategies for Hotel Network Planning” featuring Ted Watson from Ruckus; Bill Dufresne from Cisco; and Eran Gureshnik, Sigma Designs. Sessions are also scheduled to cover topics including next-generation HD interactive television application and engaging and monetizing the traveling consumer.

The event will also include a keynote address by Dr. Robert Atkinson, founder and president of the Information Technology and Innovative Foundation (ITIF). Atkinson is scheduled to speak on “Spurring Innovation and IT Application in the Hospitality Industry.”
