Lights of Solidarity

INTERNATIONAL REPORT—As international landmarks, from the Empire State Building to the London Eye, are showcasing their support during the COVID-19 pandemic through thoughtful light displays, hotels are joining the cause.

Study Hotels has rolled out a series of positive symbols (including a heart and medical cross) illuminating its rooms at The Study at Yale in New Haven, CT, and The Study at University City in Philadelphia.

“This is our community,” said Anthony Moir, general manager of The Study at Yale. “We’ve all been impacted by this: our staff, our neighbors, our partners, our guests. The light display was our small way of showing the community that we continue to stand with them through these challenging times, while also thanking the medical professionals working around the clock to fight this virus. We’re keeping our lights on for them. Together, we will get through this.”
