NATIONAL REPORT—Industry executives have been moving on up this week. To start, Steven A. Lichtenberger joined Leo A Daly, and Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts promoted Sabine Dorn-Aglagul. Here are the details on those personnel moves and more:
Steven A. Lichtenberger Joins Leo A Daly as President
Leo A Daly has hired Steven A. Lichtenberger as president. As part of the executive leadership team, he will be responsible for leading the firm’s global planning, architecture, engineering and interiors practice worldwide. He was formerly practice manager for architecture in the Americas at AECOM.
Lichtenberger has more than 40 years of experience in architecture, ranging from designing major projects in a wide range of market sectors, to leading a national architectural practice and overseeing 18 managing principals. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects at both local and national levels, and has participated in AIA’s Large Firm Roundtable. He attended the Arizona Institute of Design, and is licensed in Arizona, California, Idaho, Iowa, Nevada, Texas and Utah.
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Names President, Europe
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has promoted Sabine Dorn-Aglagul to president, Europe. Having joined Mövenpick in April 2017 as director of operations, Switzerland, she takes the helm from Ola Ivarsson, who will retire from his role as COO for Europe on June 30.
St. Baldrick’s Foundation Appoints AHLA CEO as Chairman-Elect of Board of Directors
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation has appointed Katherine Lugar, president and CEO of AHLA, as its new chairman-elect of the board of directors. Her two-year term was approved at a St. Baldrick’s board meeting on June 12 and will begin July 1.
St Julien Hotel & Spa Appoints Director of Revenue Management
St Julien Hotel & Spa has appointed Eric Daviau as director of revenue management. He brings more than 15 years of experience in revenue management and hospitality to the role. Prior to joining the St Julien team, he was the regional director of revenue management for Denver-based Sage Hospitality. He worked with Sage Hospitality for eight years, during which he also held the director of revenue management and corporate director of revenue management titles. Prior to his career with Sage, Daviau held revenue management positions with Starwood Corporation, Tishman Hotels Inc. and Lodgian Hotels Inc.
Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Names Wine Director
Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve has appointed Jonathan Morán as wine director. A certified sommelier by The Court of Master Sommeliers, he brings nearly a decade of gourmand and hospitality experience to Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. Prior to Dorado Beach, he was the sommelier at the two-Michelin star restaurant, Enoteca, and prior to that, he was the sommelier at the three-Michelin star, Lasarte Restaurant by Martín Berasategui.
