JW Marriott Hotel Chengdu Opens in China

CHENGDU, CHINA—JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts this week opened JW Marriott Hotel Chengdu here.

Featuring 298 rooms, 47 suites and an executive lounge, the 345-room, five-star luxury hotel offers views of Chengdu’s newest landmarks, the Sichuan Library and Chengdu Museum, and is centrally located in the hub of the city’s business district.

The hotel’s design is inspired by traditional Chinese motifs and craftsmanship. It showcases latticework, handcrafted artwork, textured fabrics and a warm color palette.

Man Ho is the hotel’s signature Cantonese restaurant serving authentic Cantonese cuisine with Sichuan flavors. The hotel offers three additional dining options, including Table, Chengdu Baking Company and The Lounge.

The property’s wellness facilities include a spa and an indoor heated swimming pool that is open year-round. There is a fitness center with endurance-testing machines and free weights.

The hotel offers multi-functional event spaces, each one equipped with audio-visual systems and business facilities. The Grand Ballroom features a floor-to-ceiling window and connects to a private rooftop pre-function area with garden. The Grand Ballroom can host a reception for 700 guests or a theater-style meeting for 800. Designed for adaptability, the Grand Ballroom can also be transformed into three smaller venues. In addition, there are eight multi-purpose function rooms.

Marriott International manages this hotel as part of a long-term relationship with the owning company, Maoye International.
