NATIONAL REPORT—Recent openings in the U.S. include the 100th property for the JW Marriott brand, as well as three extended-stay hotels:
JW Marriott Tampa Water Street
The JW Marriott brand’s 100th property, JW Marriott Tampa Water Street, is now open in the Water Street neighborhood of Tampa, FL, next to the Tampa Convention Center and Amalie Arena.
Designed by Nicholas Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates, with interiors by Champalimaud Design, the 519-room property includes a four-story atrium lobby lounge featuring hanging art and the floating Skybox conference room. Guestroom offerings include a 2,230-sq.-ft. Presidential Suite, 1,190-sq.-ft. JW Suites and Stay Well Premier Rooms on the 16th floor.
Amenities include a resort-style pool with cabanas on the sixth floor overlooking the area waterways; the brand’s signature Spa by JW; 100,000 sq. ft of meeting and event space, including an approximately 30,000-sq.-ft. ballroom; two restaurants; and the Turntable grab-and-go market.
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Tampa RJ Stadium
The Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Tampa RJ Stadium has opened near Raymond James Stadium, host of Super Bowl LV, and the New York Yankees’ spring training facilities.
The 147-room hotel features the brand’s latest design, a fitness center, a 24-hour business center, an outdoor pool and hot tub, complimentary breakfast and a 24-hour Inn Case Market in the lobby. Meeting and event spaces include the 4,500-sq.-ft. Lakeside Ballroom and the more than 1,800-sq.-ft. Tampa Palms Room.
SpringHill Suites by Marriott Columbus Dublin
Shaner Hotels has opened the 145-room SpringHill Suites by Marriott Columbus Dublin located in the Bridge Park development in Dublin, OH. Shaner will operate the hotel in a partnership with ownership, Crawford Hoying, a large-scale real estate developer headquartered in Central Ohio.
Situated in the heart of downtown Dublin, the hotel is located near local attractions such as the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium and Riverside Crossing Park, and only minutes to downtown Columbus.
The 145-suite property provides multiple amenities, including a 24/7 fitness center, 840 sq. ft. of meeting space, a complimentary breakfast buffet, a lobby bar and multiple outdoor lounging spaces. The suites feature an oversized work area, free WiFi, a mini-refrigerator, a microwave oven, a trundle sofa bed and Smart TV entertainment.
WoodSpring Suites Charlotte—University Research Park
The new WoodSpring Suites Charlotte—University Research Park is now open in North Carolina. The hotel is owned by Florida’s Liberty Investment Properties Inc. and managed by Sandpiper Hospitality.
The hotel offers 123 rooms, all featuring a full kitchen with table, a flat-screen TV and a workspace. Amenities at the pet-friendly hotel include a fitness center, free WiFi and guest laundry and vending machines.
