DALLAS—Jim Amorosia, president and CEO of G6 Hospitality LLC, has joined the board of directors of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA). The 2015 board of directors represents the full scope of the lodging sector, including brands, owners and REITs, management companies, independents and state associations.
“Joining the AH&LA’s board of directors provides G6 Hospitality the opportunity to play an important and active role to further contribute to what we know will be exciting times of growth in our industry,” Amorosia said. “I’m eager to bring a fresh perspective to the board with the thought leadership, agility and innovation G6 brands are known for.”
The AH&LA board meets twice yearly to discuss a broad range of industry and association-related issues. The new board of directors was appointed by the AH&LA nominating committee in accordance with the AH&LA bylaws.
“By joining our outstanding board of directors, Jim will strengthen our position as an industry that is united and whose momentum continues to grow,” said Katherine Lugar, president and CEO of the AH&LA. “In the past year alone, we’ve doubled our membership and have undertaken a number of key initiatives to strengthen the industry’s advocacy presence. As an industry, we have both serious issues and exciting opportunities as we continue to advocate for laws and regulations that allow our industry to continue to grow and create jobs. Together, with Jim and the leadership of our board of directors, we are well-equipped to tackle all that we have before us.”
