Jay Pricher named BWH Hotel Group general counsel; more people on the move

BWH Hotel Group has named a new general counsel, replacing Larry Cuculic, who is now the company’s president/CEO. He is among the people on the move in the hospitality industry.

BWH Hotel Group names Jay Pricher general counsel
BWH Hotel Group has appointed Jay Pricher as general counsel. He joined the organization in 2009 and previously served as VP, legal. In his new role, he provides counsel, leadership and guidance on all legal issues relating to the company’s corporate environment and membership.

Pricher is responsible for setting and managing strategic direction and providing guidance on corporate legal issues. Additionally, he will offer advice and assistance to the board of directors and to the company’s membership regarding the company’s regulatory documents, and membership rights, duties and obligations.

Prior to joining Best Western, he served as VP/associate general counsel for Financial American Corporation, a real estate-focused private equity firm.

John Edwards joins WTS International as chief information officer
WTS International, a portfolio company of private equity firm CI Capital Partners and a global provider of hospitality and amenity services for commercial, residential and hotel properties, has appointed hospitality veteran John Edwards to the role of chief information officer, reporting to Barry Goldstein, CEO, WTS.

Bringing more than 24 years of technology experience to the firm, Edwards is responsible for leading IT strategy and project management and delivery in addition to overseeing the reliability and security of all IT systems and infrastructure across fitness, spa and conferencing platforms.

Prior to joining WTS, Edwards served as SVP/chief information officer, Red Lion Hotels Corp. Previously, he held senior technology roles with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Dolce Hotels & Resorts, Millennium Hotels & Resorts and John Q. Hammons Hotels.

HUB International appoints Kimberly Gore as hospitality specialty practice leader
Global hospitality insurance brokerage HUB International has named Kimberly Gore as hospitality specialty practice leader. Gore, who is currently the chief marketing officer of the practice, has more than 30 years of experience in insurance, particularly in the hospitality and tourism industry.

As practice leader, Gore oversees the practice’s strategic initiatives focused on providing best-in-class solutions and services to HUB’s hospitality clients. She will also lead the development of proprietary risk and insurance products for the hospitality industry.

She succeeds Kevin Eggleston, HUB’s current hospitality practice leader, who led the practice for three years and will continue to serve the firm as an active member in the practice.
