INTER-CONTINENTAL TO EXPAND IN ASIA-PACIFIC

Bass Hotels & Resorts unveiled an aggressive $70 million plan to expand its Inter-Continental brand in Asia-Pacific— what the hotel company terms a “key” market. Bass will establish or refurbish 14 new hotels in five markets over the next two years, including China, India, Malaysia, French Polynesia and New Zealand. Starting this month, Bass will begin building its Inter-Continental hotel presence in New Zealand. Upon completion, Bass will have 29 Inter-Continental hotels across 14 markets in Asia-Pacific.
