In the South, Three Hotels Are Under New Management

NATIONAL REPORT—Hotels in the South are changing hands. Here are the recent deals in Tennessee, Texas and Lousiana:

WP Hospitality to Manage The Purpose Hotel in Nashville, TN
WP Hospitality Group LLC will be at the management command for The Purpose Hotel in Nashville, TN. The luxury company is spearheaded by Horst Schulze, former president/COO of the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company and founder of Capella Hotel Group. Hastings Architecture will be in charge of the primary design aiming for an open of 2022. The concept is the brainchild of celebrity photographer Jeremy Cowart. Everything from blankets to soap, internet access to furniture, The Purpose Hotel will help fight cyclical issues through domestic and international partnerships.

PM Hotel Group to Manage TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Austin, TX
PM Hotel Group has been selected to operate the new TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Austin, TX. This new hotel represents the first TownePlace by Marriott property in the PM Hotel Group portfolio and further expands the company’s relationship with Marriott International. Currently under construction and scheduled to open in October, the 103-room hotel is located close to Austin International Airport and downtown attractions.

Q Hotels Adds Wyndham to Management Portfolio
Q Hotels, a hotel development and management company based in LaPlace, LA, has a new partnership with Nola Hospitality LLC with a management contract for the Wyndham Garden New Orleans Airport in Metairie, LA. The 222-room Metairie hotel is close to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) Airport.
